Restaurant Zum Schwarzen Kameel, Vienna

The restaurant Zum Schwarzen Kameel on Bognergasse in Vienna’s first district has been around for centuries, writing a story of seductive flavour. It started out as a spice shop in 1619 and received its present interior design in 1901. Elegant Art Nouveau. The artistic synthesis has long become a Viennese institution, but its culinary experience is still as vibrant as ever: two generations of the Friese family preserve reliable continuity and irresistible diversity.

It goes without saying that such a business has high expectations and demands of itself and its partners when it comes to quality, performance and reliability. Peter Friese, commenting on the cooperation with METAGRO: "At my restaurant Zum Schwarzen Kameel, I tirelessly work on quality, reliability and service and that is exactly what I have been getting from METAGRO for more than 20 years".

Restaurant Seven, Ascona

The restaurant Seven in Ascona is part of the gastronomy enterprise of the Swiss family Breuer, who runs businesses in Ascona, Zermatt and Lugano. They offer experiences full of lifestyle at their sophisticated and architecturally ambitious restaurants, lounges, apartments and clubs. Their service is complemented by the offer of exquisite wines, their own products and, most of all, their numerous events.

METAGRO supplied canteen kitchen and refrigeration units for various of the Breuer family’s restaurants and bars on Lake Maggiore. The bar and kitchen furniture was individually adapted to both the partly rustic buildings and the sophisticated interior design.

Schlosshotel Rosenau, Waldviertel

The renaissance castle "Schloss Rosenau", built in 1593 in the west of Zwettl (Waldviertel), was reconstructed in Baroque style during the 18th century, receiving a magnificent façade. Since 1964, the property has been owned by Lower Austria’s Housing Association, since 1999, Margit Zulehner has been renting the Schlosshotel. The castle’s successful tenant is not only trying to preserve the property entrusted to her, but also to continue shaping and conserving it for the future. In order for her to be able to carry on spoiling her guests with culinary delights, not only excellently trained staff, but also an extraordinary kitchen is needed.

Which is why for the complete kitchen renovation, Ms. Zulehner, who was awarded the title of "Castle Lady of the Year" in 2007, relied on the quality and durability of METAGRO kitchen furniture. Whether you want to spend a romantic holiday or simply enjoy a delicious meal, the Schlosshotel Rosenau is definitely worth a visit!

Goldenes Bründl

The restaurant "Goldenes Bründl", run by the Knobl couple, is one of the top restaurants in Lower Austria. In 2008 it was awarded the title "Top Host Winner" by the Niederösterreichische Wirtshauskultur. The cookbook written by the owner Gerhard Knobl and his chef Norbert Steiner also testifies to the company's claim to offer contemporary and creative cuisine.

At the “Goldenes Bründl”, great value is attached to high-quality products from the region. Which is something they do not only demand of the food they cook, but also of the kitchen furniture. Therefore, a clear decision in favour of a METAGRO kitchen was made, convincing with its quality and durability.

ÖGB, Vienna

The Austrian Trade Union Federation (ÖGB) is a non-partisan organization representing the interests of Austria's employees and has around 1.2 million members. A new in-house canteen was designed for the employees at the Vienna headquarters. The company PLANOTHEK carried out the planning of the project, each piece of furniture was created virtually and adapted to its actual dimensions before it was fabricated.

In order to ensure a fast installation of all areas (kitchen/sink/cafe/storage and cooling), it was carried out by 4 different specialist dealers (all METAGRO partners). The E loop-through system is worth mentioning: It enables a mobile and flexible design of the serving counter through individual, wheeled modules. Similar to train wagons, they can be placed in any order and supplied with electricity (for cooling, bain maries, thermal bridges and lights). To make this possible, only an electrical connection provided by the client was needed.

Grünauerhof, Wals

The Grünauerhof, owned by the Eisl family, is located in the heart of Grünau, close to the city of Salzburg. Its special location and surroundings with the river Saalach right outside its doorstep render the place attractive for families, day-trippers and businesspeople.

METAGRO supplied both the restaurant’s commercial kitchen furniture and the working equipment. For Ms. Eisl the METAGRO hygienic furniture’s easy cleaning feature was an important decision-making factor. Because in a kitchen that produces up to 1,500 meals a day, the time spent cleaning should not be underestimated. METAGRO’s H3 hygienic furniture allows for this time to be minimized and, thus, cut costs in the long term.

Pizzeria Topolino, Hainfeld

The pizza restaurant Topolino, a popular hangout place for the people of Hainfeld, was rebuilt after its complete destruction by a major fire in December 2014. The restaurant owners, the Reischer family, commissioned the architecture firm Livingpool to come up with the design. The result is a striking building that welcomes guests both inside and outside with plenty of light and exciting design features. The café-bar seats 60, the restaurant additional 80 people. The outdoor area is designed for 165 guests.

Among others, METAGRO, which is based in Hainfeld, and its Viennese subsidiary RECH-Mechatronik were responsible for the equipment of a professional kitchen. The METAGRO installation team spent the whole time during the installation of the kitchen and bar on site. Stefan Reischer: "It all worked perfectly, both in the planning and the execution phase. METAGRO showed a lot of flexibility and was able to carry out additional requests of changes at any time. That METAGRO is also a company from Hainfeld can be considered a stroke of luck!”

Mostlandhof, Purgstall

In 2014 the Selner and Lang family bought and completely renovated the hotel and restaurant Mostlandhof in Purgstall an der Erlauf. Not only the farm building, which goes all the way back to the 18th century, makes it worth a visit, but the orchard nature trail located next to it and the beautiful farm garden are a sight to see as well. In addition to apples, pears, plums, cherries and nuts, specialities such as mulberries, medlars, Cornelian cherries and quinces are turned into seasonal delicacies.

The natural measure for the new kitchen was carried out with the FlexiJet system, which ensured exact adaptation of the furniture to the sloping old walls. The individual parts of the worktop were then seamlessly welded by the METAGRO assembly team directly on site without visible welds. Mostlandhof boss Elisabeth Selner is enthusiastic: "From the first contact to the completion of the entire implementation, everything was simply perfect! Especially the practical experience in the kitchen area of her employee was a great help for us during the planning."

Columbia Hotel, Bad Griesbach

One of the most beautiful wellness and golf hotels in the Bavarian Tuscany is located surrounded by the tranquil rolling hills of the Rottal valley: The Columbia Hotel Bad Griesbach. The hotel, which is part of the Columbia hotel group, focuses on the special Bavarian down-to-earth way of live in combination with culinary excellence. This unique mix makes the hotel suitable for both wellness or gourmet weekends and business events.

The gourmet kitchen was installed in the garage of a former single-family home. Due to the very limited space, particularly precise planning of the kitchen facilities was required. The highly flexible METAGRO commercial kitchen equipment, work components and cooling system made it possible to create a perfectly coordinated workflow despite the confined space.

Refugium Hochstrass

In autumn of 2015, the seminar hotel Refugium Hochstrass opened its doors in the municipality of Stössing, right next to the Vienna Woods. Here, emphasis is put on the essential characteristics of a sanctuary, offering silence in a top-quality atmosphere. The kitchen preferably uses products from their own fruit and vegetable garden. The ambitious project is backed by the entrepreneurial Ziegler family, who was part of the packaging industry in the Waldviertel for many years.

The worktops were seamlessly welded on site. The worktops connected to windows were seamlessly adapted to the particularities of a historical building through alcove panelling. As in other projects, we used the incredibly accurate Flexijet system to take precise measurements. To create perfect working conditions for the pastry chefs, stone inserts were integrated in the worktop. Cabinets of the H1M Swingline series with rounded handlebars and hygienic sealed bottoms were provided. The beverage cooler features an elegant wood décor, matching the hotel’s interior design.
